Volunteering for nature doesn’t cost the earth

“It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.”
— Mahatma Gandhi

Volunteering in New Zealand

International Nature Volunteers (INV) connects volunteers from around the world with local nature conservation projects. Our placements are affordable, meaningful and responsible.

For volunteers, we provide one-on-one support, resources, and training. We’ll be with you every step of the way – before, during and after your volunteer travel. Unlike other organisations that charge high fees and place thousands of volunteers a year, we specialise in matching each volunteer with the project that they can best make a meaningful difference to.

For nature projects, we assist with finding the right volunteers to help the aims of your project. We also have a number of other initiatives to support our project partners, such as the INV Grant Fund.

Everyone can support nature conservation through our initiatives such as INV Nature Supporters and INV Sponsor a Tree.

Help support our projects through one of our many initiatives – make a contribution to the INV Grant Fund, become an INV Nature Supporter, or sponsor a tree!
